Your family travel assistant

We all have our favourite family restaurants at home right? Those places where you know you'll always find something your kids will love... then you go on holiday. You quickly realise you're away from those familiar well-loved restaurants, and, I don't know about you, but we've certainly noticed that high ratings don't necessarily mean they're great for a family meal out.

So we thought we'd help out for those of you thinking about visiting the top European city for families - Amsterdam!

All of these restaurants are currently open or plan to open by July 1st. You'll find details on each website regarding how they're handling customers post-covid. Some do require reservations to sit inside in the current climate so be sure to check in advance!

Various locations throughout Amsterdam

A personal favourite here - PANCAKES Amsterdam have six locations throughout the city so you're never too far from one. No prizes for guessing what food they specialise in - they really are fantastic pancakes that are popular with the whole family.

Their menu has plenty of savoury and sweet options and a good mix of Dutch and American style pancakes but you can also create your own from a list of toppings and they also have poffertjes (mini pancakes) and monthly specials. Many of the locations also have merchandise you can purchase including clothes, bags and pancake mixes so you can bring a little taste of Amsterdam home.
