Beach Barometer Guide - Find out where you can still stay for a beach holiday in the UK
We've been hearing from tripAbrooders that it's really hard to know where to look this summer for an escape to the beach with your kids. There's been so much uncertainty around foreign travel over the last few weeks that beach destinations in the UK are booking up fast.
To help you secure your summer beach holiday we've done all the hard work for you by finding out what is still available and where. Popular destinations such as Cornwall, Devon, Margate, Tenby, Eastbourne, Torquay and the Scottish Isles have very few places left, if any, to stay for families.
But you're in luck, as we've found some great places around the UK where you can still search for family accommodation.
If you're struggling to find your family accommodation this summer here are some tips
- The best availability is from the middle of August
If you're flexible with your dates this summer, we'd recommend searching from the middle to the end of August where there is more availability.
- Search for 2 rooms rather than 1 large room
Consider searching for 2 rooms rather than one large room, if you're able to split your family up. Large rooms are in high demand so whilst it might cost more for two rooms, you may have more chance of booking somewhere to stay. If you'd like us to request interconnecting rooms, just reach out to our family travel experts via the intercom chat icon on tripabrood.com and we'd be delighted to help.
- Try searching a wider area
You may have to compromise on your location to secure a place to stay, so searching a little wider will show more properties than searching for a specific location.
