2. Palmitos Park

This zoo, aviary & botanical garden is a joy to behold. With lots of space for animals to roam around, you’ll see monkeys, meerkats, parrots and dolphins. With shows galore (including a dolphin show) and hills to climb, we’d recommend taking your time on your visit, bringing snacks, good walking shoes and strollers if needed. 3. Day trip to Arucas

We’d highly recommend a trip to the historical town of Arucas, in the north of Gran Canaria. Most of the buildings in Arucas date back to the second half of the 19th century & early 20th century. The town is surrounded by the Arucas volcano which adds to the spectacular scenery. With a cathedral, museum, rum distillery and botanical gardens, there is plenty to keep the whole family occupied.

4. Camel trekking in Las Dunas de Maspalomas

We highlighted Las Dunas de Maspalomas as one of our favorite beaches in Gran Canaria here. And if you do go, here’s a great activity for everyone in the family to do - camel trekking. Riding a camel is one of those experiences your children will never forget. Get Your Guide offer camel rides which you can book here.
